How to test a laptop in a store?

I'm buying a laptop for Android Studio Intel I5 + for simple games like Battlefield 3 on Geforce 920M, but, in these internets of yours, it's hard to trust anyone, so I want to see everything with my own eyes, so:
1) How to test the laptop completely? In addition to checking all working keys, touchpad, USB, etc., what programs can do this?
2) Checking for AS and Battlefield 3, is it possible to bring a flash drive and run them right in the store?
