How to test a business idea?

Hello!
Perhaps I am writing not quite on that resource, but perhaps there are those who can help.

First some context:
I am a school student (grade 9) and now I want to take part in the writing of the LSE on the topic of Business, the topic is "Developing a software product and launching it on the market." According to the terms, I am required to prepare a business plan, according to which in the future it would be possible to launch the development of a software product, and in the future to enter the market with it.

Essence of the question:
I do not quite understand how to properly approach the formation, but I see the following stages of work on a training project as mandatory:
1. Choosing a niche for a software product (there are no restrictions on this, so there may be some kind of sales management system or something similar). To select it, you need to analyze something, but I don’t understand what and how, so I would like to know if someone can tell in which direction to drip and what to read?
2. After I decide on the idea, you need to somehow understand whether this idea is needed by potential customers, i.e. do some surveys? Is there any literature, articles or something else on this topic? What tools should be used for this?
3. Form a list of requirements for the software product, describe the main functions and, based on this, draw up a technical task (I can roughly imagine how to do this).
4. Describe the opportunities for monetization and profit generation based on what I get as a result of the audience assessment.

Please tell me if I see the upcoming list of tasks correctly, maybe I missed something or don't understand something?
Maybe you will advise what to read in order to better understand the process of creating a software product from the "idea" stage to the "beginning of development" stage, i.e. is it a business component, and not a technical one, in software development?

If you need any additions to the question - write, I will try to explain more clearly.
Thank you!

  1. A niche is not chosen from the ceiling, it happens naturally when they stumble upon some kind of problem. There is no methodology for choosing a niche.
  2. To test demand, they make MVPs of varying degrees of elaboration. https://stecpoint.ru/Practices-MVP/
  3. Ok
  4. Well, generally speaking, this is also determined by polls of the target audience, analysis of competitors' prices, experiments.

The business plan includes realistic calculations of the costs of implementing the idea and realistic calculations of recoupment of funds from this business idea.
If you just need to write some nonsense for a teacher - write any nonsense.
If you need more or less working, you need to really find out all the nuances and count the money.
Without money, this is not a business plan, but just a plan, or rather, a barely outline plan.
And with money, it immediately becomes clear how realistic this idea is. Often, under a business plan, an investor can give money under different conditions (percentage of earnings, a percentage of a product, or even ownership of a controlling stake). But without realistic and convincing calculations, where you can justify when and how much you can earn, no one will move.
