If you need a complete guarantee of synchronicity and cheaper - I would put together a picture from the player and a picture from the camera into one frame on the client computer (under Windows, for example, this is done elementarily - through multimedia chains) and write (to a disk, to a network or somewhere there you need) as a single video.
