How to style select (menu items overlap each other)?

I want to style the dropdown list using the easydropdown.js library, style the arrows and
make sure that the dropdown list does not move the content and the items do not run into each other. sketched fiddle

1. jQuery is built into jsfiddle. It's selected in the menu on the left, see?
