How to stream video to different types of devices?
Good afternoon.
The situation is as follows: you need to broadcast video from a webcam through Wowza. But you need to broadcast on PC/ipad/iphone/android/(symbian would be nice too).
Is there any client technology that will work on all these devices without writing separate applications for them. I'm not sure about Flash support, maybe html5 video would work then?

It seems to me that this is a new area for you.
What about flash support? Where did html5 video come from?
First you need to decide - either you are making a site where everyone watches the stream through an online player, or you are making a native application for each platform.
If a site - it is necessary to be defined with a player and transport to it.
As @dmtrrr said , iOS devices work seamlessly with HLS transport. PCs work freely with RTMP transport. Android does not support RTMP, but on HLS it works in such a way that it would be better if it didn’t work at all, so RTSP is tastier for it. I prefer to forget about Symbian.
If you make native applications, then again ios-hls, android-rtmp, but PC and symbian seem to be able to stream the same way, but I can’t name the transport.
Also keep in mind that if you still have containers / codecs that are incompatible between transports, then you will need a transcoding addon on the transport.
MP4 (H264 + AAC) will play via html5 video on all listed devices (not sure about symbian).
