How to store user data without registering woocommece, wordpress?

Hello dear experts.
Such a task.
There is an online store on wordpress + woocommerce. It is required to make it so that when a user once bought something on the site, the next time he did not need to fill in the fields with information about him. But there was no registration procedure. I was looking for more or less ready-made solutions - I did not find it. (Maybe I didn't search well).
As I see this question, there are 2 kinds of solution.
1. automatic registration of users without their knowledge. And then when the user visits our site again, he is automatically authorized, i.e. with this method, user information is stored on our server.
2. The second option is to store all information about the user in cookies.
Can you suggest better solutions?
Maybe there are ready-made solutions?
If there are no prettier or more ready-made ones, what solution do you consider more rational?
In what steppe should we move when writing that "rational" decision that you advised? (name of hooks, functions)
