How to stop Adnroid from connecting to unsecured Wi-Fi?

Android 6.0.1. If the Wi-Fi module is enabled, then it itself clings to all free waffles, I would like to wean it from this. Previously, in the settings there was a checkbox "allow connection to unsecured networks", it could be unchecked, and in this case, he only wrote that such networks were detected, but did not connect to them on his own. Now there is no checkbox. What to do?
Android is the usual official, on Nexus 5, without add-ons.

Look at the "bluebox wifi protector" (or its analogues, of which there are plenty) - it only knows how to do this, prevent it from connecting to open networks.

It's probably just a pure android picking up itself. For on my OnePlus 2 6.0.1, only notifications come about the presence of open networks, and you need to connect with handles. Stock firmware, similar to pure android with minor changes and additional functions.

CyanogenMod to the rescue. Bare firmware contains a rather meager list of settings, which is suitable only for very very users. Or you can write it yourself if you want.

Root and set rules through iptables.

The set of behavior settings does not differ in variety, both in stock and in AOSP, yes.
But. When the "notify" option is enabled, it just notifies, but does not connect.
It automatically connects only to networks already known to it, no matter open or password-protected. Those. if the SSID (point name) matches the point to which you have already connected, the android will connect to it and this is normal behavior from at least version 2.3.
If it connects to any open networks at all, this is no longer regular behavior and you need to look for reasons. It's elementary to check - create an open network with SSID a la 555test_nexus_657 and see if it connects or just notifies.
