How to start using https on a server without a domain?
Good afternoon.
There is a tiny server with Ubuntu and external static IP.
The domain for it - is not present and will not be. On it, apache2 shows a small site with authorization.
Question:
is it possible (and how) to make a secure connection between the client and the server so
that the intercepted traffic would be encrypted, and Chrome would not give a warning that "the connection is not secure" The
service is used by a limited number of people: maybe you can upload a certificate to Chrome so that it cursed.

however, I would buy the cheapest domain and figs with it
Well, just a rebus ....
"smear" your personal CA with the necessary certificates, certificates in the web server. CA in chrome clients.
here will be green for you https://192.168.0.1/bigass
Create an SSL certificate for an IP address, not a domain. If you find which of the trusted CAs do this, then the certificate will be trusted in browsers.
If not, then you can at least make a self-signed one and add it to the trusted ones manually.
