How to start sharding in Vitess for externalDatastore?

Hi, I'm currently working on a mySQL sharding task. I'm running a Vitess cluster in Kubernete with multiple externalDatastores. But the trouble is, Vitess overwrites the database in the tablet. There is no such problem when I follow the example from the repository (but they use mySQL in Kubernet there, not an external source).

Write if you have or had experience of migrating a database to Vitess where you worked with external databases. Maybe there are configs with examples. I have already searched the entire Internet and talked to the community, but unfortunately the result is 0. I have been working with this for two weeks now, my head is exploding.
