how to start mysql

start: Job failed to start
this is what happens at startup.
When the site is launched, it gives this:
Error! mysql_connect()
Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2)

MySQL Query Error: SELECT * FROM dev_resizeman_settings[]

what could be problem?

cat /var/log/mysql/error.log
most likely some errors in the config
