How to start localizing (translating) Android/iOS/Windows phone applications released in Russia?
The situation is this:
I myself am a translator, with a bias in IT, I know HTML / CSS at a basic level, but I go deeper, this allowed me to understand the work of the company's website, monitor it, update and improve it, in the near future, as soon as I finish with the markup language, I will start learn Javascript, then php. (this is for myself, for development, I am more than sure that it will come in handy in the future).
I work in the translation business, there are good "translation capacities" - translators of almost all languages, software, infrastructure.
At the moment, the most interesting translations for me were processor specifications, software manuals for various equipment, and all kinds of marketing texts on gadgets, etc. The main work takes place in the legal field, and I'm tired of it (!!!).
I really want to somehow join the localization of software! In principle, no matter what OS, because. the standards are still the same, and the source files and infrastructure for work are also almost the same. Recently, the localization of the same applications for Android is very, very lame, all because of google translate, and I think that if applications are developed in Russia, then localization in English will look acceptable, but in languages such as German, French , Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, everything will be basically ridiculous. Therefore, I am ready to work practically at zero and at a loss, but to study the process, basic principles and rules.
Advise how to start, whom to offer, what to expect?
PS: I hope those who answer will treat with understanding, because. working on the next contract, I see how the IT world lives its bright life and I regret that I can’t even be somehow involved in this, there is no question of programming.

"The main work takes place in the legal field" stay there, there are very few translators who translate contracts. Raise skill or change profession.
