How to start learning Ruby on Rails?

I'm thinking of starting to learn Ruby on Rails. I prefer video tutorials rather than printed editions, but I won’t refuse a good book either. Once upon a time, these courses were advised ruby.hasbrains.ru And which ones would you recommend? What did you start with?
ps I don’t like it when they immediately plunge headlong into the jungle of the language, I love chewed lessons from the very beginning, even if they are uber-simple and trivial.

Well, it's worth
starting rusrails.ru - a manual in Russian
railstutorial.ru/chapters/beginning - in Russian
and as the book "Agile Development of Web Applications in the Rails Environment" was advised above.
Further, if everything went well: you watch the
video on railscasts.com and fasten the buns to the same Internet store that you did or to the tweeter, and you try to do something of your own.
If everything didn't go as well as we wanted, we go to court:
www.codecademy.com - you go through a tutorial on ruby syntax, unlike the video, you have to pick it yourself.
If everything is fine with English, then there are quite a few books on rails.

if you wanted to learn, and not "thought", then you would have downloaded five books for yourself a long time ago, which are googled in one minute. and don't ask pointless questions here

Screencast .
Ruby S., Thomas D., Hansson D. - Agile web development with Rails.

I won’t tell you from the video - personally they are inconvenient for me, and I haven’t met anyone that would be interesting to me. Moreover, the current version of rails is 4.0, so it is unlikely that you will be able to find a fresh video.
Books - the traditional book Agile Web Development with Rails %version% helped me wildly at the time. She was the first, and she is also the last. After that, I polished a little on the official rails doc site. There is his Russian replica - rusrails.ru

It's probably too late, but at least
I'll help others =) Please, don't read the documentation in Russian - it's EVIL! A lot of things are written incorrectly there)
The only thing I can advise in Russian is the translation of the book Ruby on Rails Tutorial And it's better to read the original.
There are also Russian Thinknetica courses for both ruby and rails. Serious level. I highly recommend, the guys are great. Although you will have to spend money, but they will quickly pay off if you work as a rail developer. Even experienced developers who have worked in this field for more than 5 years go to these courses. Just to improve your knowledge.
