How to split an image in two in imagemagick?

There is a picture (book).jpg you need to split it in the middle into two pages and save each one. How to do it using imagemagick in win 7.

convert book.jpg -crop 50%x100%  +repage  +adjoin  tiles_%02d.jpg

Splits the image in half into left and right parts.
For Win, do not forget to escape the paths to the files and, if I'm not confused, in new versions instead of convert magick.exe
