How to speed up PhpStorm?
PhpStorm is a very cool thing, but it consumes a lot of memory. On my Ubuntu, the java process takes up 1.2 GB with one open project - this is Bitrix, of course, I understand that there are a lot of files in it, but still, more than 1 GB is already too much in my opinion. At the same time, everything works rather slowly, sysmonitor shows 80% of the filled RAM.
Unused plug-ins are disabled, cache folders are added to exclusions. Maybe there are other options how to speed up this wonderful IDE?
Thanks in advance!
PS 6 GB of RAM, except for the storm, chrome is open, with a couple of tabs.

PhpStrom is quite well optimized, on 4GB I very rarely notice problems with resources (provided that the browser and 1 vagrant virtual machine are still running). At 8GB, there are no complaints at all.
But still, if you have such problems, and you are ready to sacrifice functionality in favor of performance, then turn on the Power Save Mode and change the code inspector to check only the syntax for each file.
