How to speed up button animation?

Added animation to the button using standard tools. In Animation, I set the desired states. Everything works, but the button responds very slowly. If you quickly move the mouse over it, then its animation "gets stuck" in one state and does not have time to switch to another.
Tried: change speed for each state in Animator; in state machine each transition -> settings -> transition (s) duration = 0.01 (advice from https://answers.unity.com/questions/858262/how-to-... ). Does not help.
What else could be wrong?

you would show the setting of the transitions.
Did you touch the state switch itself? everything standard?
except for the transition time, try turning off the "Has Exit time" checkbox so that you don't have to wait for the last animation to finish.
