You have a question about sorting elements, and the second screenshot shows the parameters of a component that displays not elements, but the sections themselves. Sorting of elements is configured in the parameters of the component that displays them, usually news.list or catalog.section. If you have a complex catalog component on the page, then the sorting of elements must be specified in its parameters.
