How to sort out the password for telnet?

I use hydra. I select a password for the DVR port 23. login root. Set password generation from 2 to 6. Small symbols and numbers. It gave out 2 billion possible options. This is unrealistically long, given that there are 200 attempts per minute. Do such not long passwords take so long to guess? As far as I understand, it does not depend on the speed of the processor. Are there other faster ways to crack telnet?
