How to sort folders in Windows by the date shown in the title?

The task is simple, you need to create a bunch of folders and display them in chronological order. Since you don’t want to rely on the date of creation of the folder, there is only one option left - sorting by name. But in what format should the date be specified in this case?

YYYY-MM-DD
2022-03-31

have been using this format since about the time files and their sorting were invented.
Although I'm lying. :) In the days of MS DOS, the length of a file\folder name was limited to 8 characters (not counting the extension), and, obviously, the less convenient YYYYMMDD variant was used, or the short variant YY-MM-DD (but I really don’t recommend the short variant, because not everyone will immediately understand whether 22-03-21 means the year 2022 or the year 2021).
