On the Asus S551 laptop, the sound from the speakers disappeared.
Also the microphone does not work.
The headphones have sound.
The microphone on the headset also works.
Booted into another OS, there are the same symptoms.

The same symptoms will occur if:
- the contact disconnecting the speakers sticks
- the "line" of the output to the internal devices is broken, for example, if there is a separate amplifier
- during cleaning or disassembly, the speaker and microphone connectors fell out / disconnected
