How to solve the problem with hyperlinks in emails in a Windows / MacOS bundle?

There is a large Windows PC network and a shared share for all users \\192.168.1.1\Folder. Also on the network there is ONE iMac (general's, so to speak). When attaching hyperlinks to the share \\192.168.1.1\Folder\File.txt in an Outlook (2007-2010) email, MacOS and Outlook Mac swear because they need a Windows share with the beginning smb:\\...
Tell me how solve such an interesting problem?

you need to send employees not files, but links to files or a folder from a network
share PROBLEM SOLVED: install WinShortcutter on MacOS and enable "Open as windows link", it converts \\servername addresses to smb:\\servername. Works great from Outlook and Mail

Isn't it easier to attach a file not from balls, but from a local disk? Why such difficulties?
