What made you use the distribution kit of 2016, when the distribution kit of 2022 will come to replace the distribution kit of 2020 the other day?
When doing something like this, of course there will be compatibility problems. Of course, you can manually upload fresh libraries and play around with the root certificate store, but why? Ubuntu 20.04 is at your service.
If you can’t change the distribution at all, then run the application in Docker.
