How to solve the "cubes" problem in VLC?

I downloaded an image of a Blu-Ray disc, it contains a recording of a Queen concert. VLC plays the menu without problems, but there are problems with rewinding the video. A gray background appears for a few seconds, and then everything crumbles into squares. This greatly spoils the overall impression. Turned off hardware decoding, increased caching time. Everything that was advised on various forums, I tried everything, but nothing helped to solve the problem.
Thinking that it was the computer, I decided to use another player - Media Player Classic. Here on it rewind works very quickly, and without the slightest hint of some kind of lag. But unfortunately, the player does not suit me on some points.
Actually, could you advise how to get rid of this problem in the VLC player?
