How to solve lightdm hanging before login Kubuntu 15.04?
Hello everyone,
After updating Kubuntu 14.10 to 15.04, the login screen for entering the password stopped loading. Instead, a black screen with inscriptions of loaded services. And the cursor appears. And in this state hangs without reacting. If you go into the tty and enter the sudo service lightdm restart
normal login screen is loaded. Perhaps there are some configurations left from the old distribution, what can be done?
thank!

Look, all settings are stored here /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf. You need to write these lines there:
[SeatDefaults]
autologin-user= - enter your login here
autologin-user-timeout=0
user-session=ubuntu
greeter-session=unity-greeter
Or write this command: sudo /usr/lib /lightdm/lightdm-set-defaults --autologin YOUR_LOGIN
Try rebooting and see if it loads automatically)
