How to solve a problem with GitHub Pages?

I post my assembly using the gulp plugin gulp-gh-pages. The question is: since the path to the site looks like this in GH Pages username.github.io/repository-name/, then all my type paths /img/cat.jpgbreak. What are the solutions to the problem?

Use relative paths. img/cat.jpgmight well work.
