How to show your app in action without putting it on the App Store?

I myself do not develop for iOS, but the following became very interesting. Let's say I'm developing an application and I want to show it in action. Not necessarily a full-featured application, but some kind of development with dummy data. When developing a site, you can put it on a free hosting for everyone to see. Is there something similar for iOS apps?

The store has the ability to publish applications for internal and open testing, then only those people to whom you provide it will have access to the application, the rest will not see it.
Due to platform restrictions, it will not be possible to install the application in some way other than the store (we do not consider iOS hacking, since it is not only illegal, but also not available for all devices).
