How to show recursively all videos from a Samba resource in Kodi/XBMC?

There is a Linux server (Ubuntu), on which a folder with movies and TV shows is shared via Samba.
When a new file is added, it can be either in the root or in several subdirectories.
Kodi shows this share with all subdirectories.
What I want: for Kodi to display just files, including those from all nested directories. Then you can sort by time and quickly find new videos.
I know that Kodi can scan movies or TV shows, but it can't scan both movies and TV shows in one place.
Is it possible to solve the problem at the Kodi level?
At the Linux server level?
There was an idea to write a script using ionotify to create a link to each new file in a specially allocated place and share this particular folder, but maybe there is a simpler solution? Like setting up Samba, or Kodi?
