How to show PopupMenu in EditText next to clicked word?

Good day.
How can such functionality be implemented when the user clicks on a word in the EditText and an icon (button) appears next to it, when clicked, a popupMenu appears? Implemented highlighting a word on click, calling PopupMenu too, but it's not clear how to make this menu (or icon / button) appear right next to this word.
I also know that you can change the menu that appears when you select text, but again, it's not clear how to call this menu programmatically.
Tell me, please, what other options are there?
