How to shorten page URL?

There is a WordPress site on which articles are loaded via WordPress import, as a result, the URL of the page is created depending on the title / title of the page and looks something like

получается:
site.com/zdes-dlinое-nazvanie-stranici-i-dliniy-url--mnogo-mnogo-znakov

=================

а надо:
site.com/zdes-dlinое-1
или 
site.com/zdes-dlinое-2 (с 2 на конце если начало урла совпадает)

There are two questions -
1. How can I shorten the URLs of existing pages to at least 15-20 characters
2. How to avoid the formation of long URLs when importing new pages (so that short ones are created immediately)
