How I switched to Ubuntu, in addition to these data, it requires a certificate, please help me, how to do this without a certificate.

If the certificate was not in the form of a separate file, then this is not a fact that it did not exist at all, perhaps it was in the .ovpn settings file

it is impossible without a certificate - Windows also has a certificate - look at the configuration file for Windows in the OpenVPN Connect program, all certificate files are registered there!
