How to setup nginx config as apache proxy for Yii2?

Config settings taken from here . Only ssl is configured (port 80 is redirected to 443) and php is loaded through a proxy like here: How does the nginx + apache2 + let's encrypt bundle work?
Both configs have a path to web. Only the main page is opened, and in response to any requests, be it /site/index or /debug.
