How to set xterm window size on startup?

when you start the terminal, it opens in a small window. commands like xterm -geometry length x width found on the forums open a terminal with the specified parameters once

Add a line to the ~/.Xresources or ~/.Xdefaults file
Where X, Y are the window coordinates, W, H are the width and height, respectively.
And try restarting xterm
