How to set up Wi-Fi relay on routers?

Hello!
There are two routers - NETGEAR WNDR3800 and WNDR3700. The first one serves as the main one - a wire goes into it from the shield, which is inserted into the WAN port (addresses are distributed via DHCP). The device distributes Wi-Fi (at 2.4GHz and at 5GHz), which was not enough for one of the rooms.
I decided to use the WNDR3700 as a repeater, but I don’t understand how to set it up :) I turn it on, there are also 2 networks, so as not to get confused - I renamed them (now I already have 4 Wi-Fi networks). I can’t enter the admin panel of the second router in any way - I don’t know the address of its admin panel, and if I connect it to the first router with a wire, then there is no admin panel at the received address (at the router).
Explain on the fingers, what is the sequence of actions?
1. Is it correct that the first router in the settings should be a wireless base station, and the second - a repeater?

2. Do I need to pull one of the wires (from the LAN port) of the first router into the second router, and if so, where to stick it there - into the WAN or LAN? Or you don’t need to pull anything and relaying will be only via Wi-Fi?
3. I was also confused by this nuance: in the first router, all networks with WPA2-PSK (AES), and if you go to the settings section about relaying and enable it, a message is displayed: " Wireless connection security settings WPA-PSK (TKIP), WPA2- PSK (AES) and WPA-PSK (TKIP) + WPA-PSK (AES) are not available when the wireless relay function is enabled. You need to change the security settings before enabling the wireless relay function ."

Or do I not go to the relay settings section of the router at all, but here?

How to be? :) Ready to chat on Skype.

If you use it as a repeater, then you specify the SSID of the main point and the MAC address of the main point in the settings. If it does not work stably, then try to enable WDS mode.
It's nice that you don't have to run wires. If the repeater hangs, turn on watchdog (if there is one on the repeater)
If it’s still buggy, then pull the LAN cable of the main point -> WAN additional, and then configure the AP with the same SSID and encryption, but configure the channels in order 1, 6, 11 (not to overlap).

If I have two points with the same ssid and different channels, while one of the points is guaranteed to work poorly (constant breaks), how will the clients behave?
Whether has sense to cut down an unstable point?
