How to set up WebSocket on a remote server?

I need to implement chat on WebSocket. Scripts are written. Everything works with the echo server. What should I do next and what do I need. Project: javascript+php site is based on Apache. I'm currently using free hosting.
Do I need a separate server then where can I find one or do I need to migrate my site to a Node.js or Linux server.
Everything is written under Windows and everything works here, but how can I transfer all this to a remote server?
Or can I put it on the same Apache server where the site is located?

I have not seen domestic hosting with nodejs support, I think it will be easier to buy a cheap vps-ku
