How to set up vsc for c++?

I've been scratching my head for a long time how to properly configure vsc under c ++ so that there are opportunities:

1. Degub
   
2. Normal startup
   
3. And creating a multi-file project. It is desirable, if possible, without using CMake
   As for the last point, this is just a preference, and in any way, but the main thing is that it works and that the debugger also works in multi-file projects.
