How to set up usb modem MTS in linux mint?
Decided to get acquainted with linux. Downloaded linux mint, installed everything ok. In addition to the usb modem, I have no other Internet. I can't figure out how to set it up. Through the connection editor - the modem does not see. Distributed wifi from the tablet - wifi does not see. How to connect to the Internet, what configuration options are there. All that I found on the Internet rested on one thing - download from the repositories then yes this. Well, I can not download, because there is no Internet on the PC.

I solved my problem simply - I installed Ubuntu! Everything worked at once.
I think the problem is somewhere in the modem.
My egg from MTS works fine on Mint.
The setup usually takes place through the standard tuner, you apparently mentioned this, if your modem does not see it, then apparently there is no driver for it, you can try to install a new kernel, it might help if the developers added ... I throw a link to the group in VK, a group about Linux Rosa https://new.vk.com/rosalab , you can ask your question there, I think they won’t send it; D Yes, and they shouldn’t, the problem is common
