How to set up ssl when linking docker --> nginx --> many apache2?

Nginx

There is a bunch of 5 nginx sites for all sites (proxy) --> apache2 , all in separate containers. There was a need to transfer sites to https, I think to get certificates from letsencrypt. Question - to prescribe and configure certificates on the central nginx or on each apache?

On nginx and nowhere else, unless, of course, you want to significantly reduce performance and sooner or later get confused in a bunch of Apache configs.
