How to set up sound through hdmi or display port?

Good morning.
OS Ubuntu 16.04.
There is a monitor 24 "Philips 246E9QJAB / 00. There are hdmi ports and a display port. The monitor has a built-in audio system.
Video card PCI-E 6Gb GeForce GTX1060 (DDR5) GigaByte (GV-N106... , there is a display port and hdmi.
1) I connect the monitor via hdmi -> hdmi, in the monitor settings I specify the sound source "hdmi" - the result is "0", there is no sound.
2) I try to connect via dp -> hdmi, again, I specify the sound source "hdmi" - the result is "0"
If I specify the sound source "sound input" in the monitor settings, then the sound goes to the monitor. A
TV is connected to the video card via hdmi -> hdmi, there are no such problems, the sound comes from the TV.
What needs to be done, set up so that the sound goes to the monitor via dp -> hdmi?

The problem was solved by switching to ubuntu 18.04.
The sound on the monitor through dp-> hdmi went without problems and unnecessary gestures.
