My parents are not very good at electronics and gadgets.
Until recently, they had ordinary dialers, phones with small screens and nothing.
Each has two small phones.
They recently asked me to give them a new phone.
With the requirements that the smartphone, that the camera was not bad. to keep the battery for a long time, so that it is not very bulky and so that there are two sim cards. Well, so that it is not very expensive, so as not to ruin me much.
After browsing the Internet, I settled on Highscreen boost, and took two such devices in white and black. Parents were happy, boasted to the neighbors about the battery, and began to use the devices for their intended purpose. This is where the problems started. The fact is that Android has a completely unfriendly interface. Application icons are easily dragged around anywhere as a result, my parents unknowingly took all the necessary applications into folders and screens so that they could not find them at the right time.
And calling any contact from the phone book is just a torment for them, not to mention writing a new contact into the phone book. And the camera is just that. Mom filmed herself from all angles and even in panorama mode, trying to just take a picture of her granddaughter.
Trying to somehow resolve the situation and adapt the interface for Parents, I came across the Yandex shell. It turned out to be much more convenient than the standard shell, but another problem arose. Not to mention the small print and Red capital letters in contacts that parents simply don't see, and not rare departures (which, it seems, have already been screwed up).
The shell is still a kind of third-party application, constantly requires confirmation in order to use it always.
Father nevertheless made friends with this shell. But clearly does not risk pressing anything extra.
But Mom is not in any. With some cunning manipulations, she manages to make the shell turn off by pressing the home button like a normal application, and there again chaos from the folders of applications and widgets.
Please advise me if it is possible to somehow configure Android so that my parents do not have any problems using a smartphone. After all, they seek to know its capabilities, but the interface is against them.
