How to set up scheduled music playback?

Task: organize music playback with automatic switching on and off according to a schedule.
I plan to use a mini PC with speakers connected to it for this. What software/script to organize mp3 playback in random order from a folder? Please suggest options on how to do this.

I would look towards a device with less power consumption based on Android. Your decision will have to spin around the clock, and energy is now only going up in price...

If Linux, then the simplest thing you see is a one-liner in cron

I don’t know how to solve the problem directly, or rather, I haven’t tried it, but today I faced the task of measuring blood pressure during the day according to the schedule. Googled, didn't find an answer. Therefore, he took a tambourine and started dancing. I solved the problem using the Task Scheduler, which is in any Windows. In the scheduler, you can download the program, send e-mail. mail, or display a message. I came up with a program in which you can upload an audio file. None of the programs available that can play audio when opened will launch the file, you have to click on it. Then I used a browser (IE) as the launcher of the audio file, in which I registered the .mp3 audio file as the home page, which will wake me up. Everything worked out.
To solve the MishaMike task, it is necessary (as I think) to create several tasks with their own temporary data, although a random selection order will not work.
