How to set up Motion on Raspberry pi?

Hello! I had a need to make an extended video surveillance. Nothing criminal. I need to leave home and sometimes I want to peep what is happening. I decided to do it on a raspberry. Installed Motion, configured like. I launched it in the terminal and everything was written ok. I go to ip:8081 and there is nothing there. Writes that the remote server is not working and blah blah blah. Port 8080 does nothing either. But everything seems to be working. Can you please tell me how to set everything up? There is very little time left. Of course I connected the camera.

@mirspo

/etc/default/motion : start_motion_daemon=no?
What does sudo netstat -ntpa | grepmotion?
If it works on localhost:8080 then in the file /etc/motion/motion.conf change webcam_localhost on to off
