How to set up Internet access after VPN connection on Linux?

Good day!
Faced such a problem, at work, vpn with the PPTP protocol is used for remote access. After connecting to the network via vpn, the Internet disappears on the computer. On Windows, this problem is solved if you uncheck the box "Use the default gateway of the remote network", but how to fix this situation on Linux?

Specify the default gateway on Linux.
This is usually 192.168.1.1 in the vast majority of cases.
In short, default gw is set to your normal, not from VPN.

If you configure via the GUI, then check "Use this connection only for resources on its network"
If you climbed into the configs yourself, then remove the defaultroute/replacedefaultroute
