How to set up https://antizapret.prostovpn.org on a router (Tomato firmware)?

Configured according to this instruction https://github.com/zhovner/zaborona_help/wiki/Tomato
in accordance with the configuration file https://antizapret.prostovpn.org/antizapret-tcp.ovpn
nothing suspicious in the logs

May 8 00:54:26 unknown daemon.notice openvpn[6296]: Initialization Sequence Completed

but blocked sites do not open.
What can be the problem?

First, check if the IP is changing, if not, there are problems with the configuration and something went wrong

In general terms, you must use the AntiBan's DNS server, which is issued by the VPN server. AntiBan VPN uses a tricky DNS routing scheme that is not used anywhere else.
The OpenVPN client for Linux (including routers) does not support configuring DNS servers, although it is implemented in the Windows and macOS version (in TunnelBlick).
For Linux, the OpenVPN developers recommend using up/down scripts that modify the file /etc/resolv.conf, which are included with the client and often included with Linux distributions. To enable them, you need to add up/down directives to the connection configuration file.
On desktops and servers, you can set up a connection through NetworkManager, it supports changing DNS servers in OpenVPN on its own.
Alternative firmware for routers, as a rule, has its own Internet connection management system, DNS and DHCP, and its own bindings for OpenVPN, so you need to find out the correct configuration algorithm from the firmware developers.
