How to set up e-commerce Google Analytics in CMS Magento?

Good afternoon.
There was a problem connecting Google Analytics to Magento. I did everything according to the guide, they are the same everywhere:
1. Activated GA in the admin panel configuration, entered the account number.
2. Enabled Ecommerce tracking on the GA site.
But doesn't work. The ga script on the pages has also not changed, there are no transactions or products.
Who faced such problem?

Agree with @buttersmai . I advise you to insert the tracking code in the head through a special field in the backend:
Admin > System > Configuration > Design > HTML Head > Miscellaneous Scripts

Google Analytics is updated periodically, so there may be problems when connecting through various plugins or inside the CMS.
