How to set up an Internet connection for "break"?

I looked at the nginx sources and noticed several macros, what do they mean: "TCP_KEEPIDLE | TCP_KEEPINTVL | TCP_KEEPCNT"? I can't quite understand the analogy c:
net.ipv4.tcp_keepalive_intvl=x
net.ipv4.tcp_keepalive_probes=y
net.ipv4.tcp_keepalive_time=z
