How to set up a virtual server for code testing?
Hello!
Tell me please.
I need to install some kind of server or server emulator to test the code.
In general, the task is this, there is a server (remote machine), I write a library that runs to the server, takes data from there, and processing takes place on my computer, and later a postback. At the same time, information comes to this server from other places of any places and is also transmitted to some other places. But this does not interest me, I only need to extract the data. For example, I would drive this data to the server in binary format. In this project, everything is more complicated, but the general essence is this.
So, can I make some kind of server emulator on my computer for testing, so that my library would communicate like with a real server?
Is apache suitable for this task?
