How to set up a user in Active directory?

As I know that through the credentials of an active directory user, one can log in to any computer that is in the same domain. That is, on any computer, the documents of this account will be available to you. Correctly? Something doesn’t work for me, I log into an account on one computer, save some files there and exit, but for some reason there are no files when I log in through the same account on another computer. What is the issue here, can anyone explain? Maybe everything is primitive there, but I just started to study networks and for me it's a little problematic. I would be very grateful for your help)

No "My Documents" redirect policy. This policy is not enabled by default and must be configured manually. Well, it is clear that the server on which the profiles are stored must always be available.
PS: I strongly do not recommend redirecting the "Desktop" - at any slightest jamb, all icons disappear from the desktop, except for a couple of standard ones :)

Do not confuse authorization in the domain and roaming profile ( https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/d... when your profile is stored on the server and not on the local computer.

This is called a "roaming profile" and is enabled on a domain controller. After you enable roaming profiles, you need to set up storage with user folders. After creating a user, at the first login in AD, a profile is configured. After that, you get one account on all domain computers, with mail (if Exchange), printers and other goodies.
