How to set up a theme to work with WooCommerce?

I installed WooCommerce on an existing site with a custom theme based on your-clean-template-3 , but there was a problem with filters and pagination on the categories page.
As far as I understand, it is caused by the fact that the category page is perceived as a page (page), and not as an archive (archive-product).
How can this be fixed?

Take the Storefront theme. She is the starter for Woo. Required for beginners.
After 3-4 years of development experience, when you learn to understand how it works and ask questions, you can take some other topics.
