How to set up a redirect for file names that have capital letters in the file name to uppercase?

Help me please. We have a
file on the server site.ru/uploads/2009/12/shema.gif redirected from Shema.GIF to shema.gif ? The path to the file for example, the url structure is different. You just need to ignore the case in the file name and extension.

This is an idiotic redirect, and it was invented by those who have never worked in Linux. Linux has a case-sensitive file system, and these are really different files.
Therefore, changing the register just like that does not make any sense or desire, the register of your image does not affect SEO in any way.
There remains the virtual structure of the site (NC), but as you understand it builds valid URLs, at least it does not dance in the register.
So there is no point in these redirects at all.
Dissuade me with these readings of the metric.
