How to set up a license server?
There is an idea for corporate clients to organize a license server.
Offhand, the essence is as follows:
A certain server to which computers access via the local network.
A certain number of licenses have been purchased for the company, and this server fixes so that no more than this number of programs are launched on the network.
The binding goes to the hardware of this server.
The request-response is encrypted with a constant change in responses.
The advantages of this approach
are that when users change computers, there is no need to update the keys.
- the key is issued only to one server.
Something like this.
Actually what do you say-advise about such a bike?
Thank you.

Binding to the hardware is not a good idea, any problem with the license server is up. The same 1C does not work with a hardware key in vain, independence from the server hardware is ensured. There is also an analogue of what you offer (software licenses), but this is not very popular (a very troublesome solution), users are willing to pay extra, but get a hardware key. If you, or your support team, is up for constant communication about license issues, then this is for you.
