How to set up a banner in admob?

I am never familiar with advertising, for the first time I built one simple banner into my application. In the settings I found a lot of items that I do not understand. For example, how and what will be affected by changing the refresh rate of the banner, what is the best way to set it? What is the minimum price per 1000 views? There may be other settings that need to be changed. I will be grateful for any help.
